In late 2021, I started a graduate program in oceanography and climate science, with a specific focus on fundamental problems in cryosphere research. My research involves the computational modeling of ice sheets and alpine glaciers, and my current focus is on building statistical methods to better understand uncertainty invoked in such models. I am interested also in the policy aspects of adaptation and mitigation strategies, be it in coastal regions or mountain environments.
Currently in South India close to the Nilgiri hills, continuing work on all my active projects, dissertation included. While not at the desk, I’m out birding, or (so far, unsuccessfully) trying to spot leopards.
